Our Services

One-to-one consultations with a NAMA-certified Ayurvedic Practitioner give you an assessment of your current state of health and wellbeing from an Ayurvedic perspective and provide you with an individualized diet, lifestyle & herbal protocol to follow, that is modified as needed based on your body's ever-changing conditions.

Initial Ayurvedic consultation

An Initial Ayurvedic Consultation lasts 90-120 minutes. The consultation will review past health history, current conditions and symptoms, medication history and diet and exercise habits to establish a wellness protocol that puts you in control of your own health and well-being. Health evaluation forms will be sent to you prior to the session and will need to be returned at least 48 hours prior to the consultation.

Follow-Up Consultations

Follow-up consultations are 45-60 minutes, and are an essential part of the health plan. They give us the chance to review your program and make any necessary adjustments based on your body's response. Our bodies are constantly changing in response to our diet, lifestyle and environment, and what is helpful at one stage in your health journey may be slightly- or substantially- different from that at another. An awareness of trends in your doshic fluctuations over time, and knowledge of ways that can effectively bring the doshas back into balance in your own system can empower you to prevent these from causing greater health concerns over time.

It is recommended that you schedule your first follow-up within 4 weeks of your initial visit.

herbal support

Herbal products can be purchased at the time of visit or by phone/email anytime. Herbal supplement reorders do not always require a follow-up visit. If the desired formula is not available in house, we will let you know of other sources where you can obtain it.

You will not be advised to stop taking any medications prescribed by your medical doctor. Healing modalities will take current medication regimens into account.

While we order herbs from multiple companies, we maintain a small on-hand stock of products from the following companies:

  • Earthen Apothecary (our in-house tea blends)

  • Banyan Botanicals

  • Kottakkal/ Arya Vaidya Sala

  • Natura Health Products

  • Gaia Herbs

Abhyanga: Ayurvedic Warm Oil Massage

An Ayurvedic oil massage is a deeply-relaxing and restorative massage using unique sequencing and marma point stimulation along with traditional Ayurvedic oils that are matched to the client to soothe any existing imbalances. Some of the many therapeutic benefits of regular abhyanga massage include: improved digestion and circulation, reduced pain and discomfort, improved joint mobility, total mind-body relaxation, enhanced immune function (ojas) and lustrous youthful skin.

NOTE: Abhyanga is best avoided during pregnancy and menstruation and immediately after eating, in addition to other common massage contraindications.

Shirodhara: Ayurvedic Head Oiling

Shirodhara is a bliss-inducing, traditional Ayurvedic therapy, consisting of a steady flow of warmed oil over the forehead and scalp that brings a deep level of calm to the nervous system. It is especially helpful in cases of excessive stress, busyness and overwhelm, anxiety and insomnia. Energetically, it also stimulates our ajna chakra (third-eye center) and can heighten our subtle body awareness and enhance our heart-mind connection.

NOTE: Shirodhara is not recommended when there is head congestion or mucosy conditions present, as these may increase as a result. It is also best received prior to mealtime and completely contraindicated while under the influence of intoxicants.
